KFC OWNER : HARLAND SANDERS

  KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is a fast food restaurant chain. It is now world’s second largest restaurant chain. The company is a subsidiary of Yum! This company also owns the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains.

Founded by Harland sanders, an entrepreneur who begun selling fried chicken his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky.  At present moment KFC has over 18,000 outlets in 118 countries and territories.

But how did it all started??  And how could a single man with no one to look after and that to at the age of 65 made it up to this ,to this level that it becomes second largest restaurant chain.

At a very young age when a child doesn’t even know his mother tongue properly at the age of 5 he lost his father. He grew up without his father’s hand on his head, at age 16 he quit school. He went on searching for jobs to earn a living. This year until age 17 he had already lost 4 jobs!!!  He became a railroad conductor, got married at 18 and became father at 19. At age 20 his wife left him and took their baby daughter. He joined army and was washed out there, he applied for law school and was rejected, and he even tried to become an insurance agent but again failed at it. He finally became a cook and dishwasher at a small café and worked their until age 65 and retired then. He received a check of $105 from the government on the first day of retirement.

He felt ashamed and thought that he wasn’t even able to feed himself and so government provided him his living, he decided to commit suicide and addressed himself as a total failure. He sat down to write his will while he realized that there was much that he would have accomplished .He borrowed $87 and bought  and fried up some chicken using his recipe and went door to door to sell them to his neighbors in Kentucky.

At age 65 he was about to commit suicide and now at age 88 he was a billionaire!! And had a very large business  empire.

Keep moving you never really  know what tomorrow may bring!!!!
